About the WC-128NT
Rope furniture fails at the joints long before it fails in the weave. On this armchair the anchors sit inside the solid teak frame, so the strands are protected from knocks and the outside reads as one continuous line.
In natural rope it suits lounge corners, poolside terraces and hotel lobbies. The open weave keeps it cool in direct sun and easy to hose down at close of service.
Materials and construction
The frame is solid teak, cut, welded and finished under one roof. Where the weave is anchored we add internal reinforcement, because that is where a rope chair takes its load.
The rope is solution-coloured synthetic, so the colour runs through the strand rather than sitting on the surface. It dries fast, does not mildew and needs no oiling.
Because frame and rope are both made to order, colours can be matched to a sample, a Pantone reference or an existing scheme. That is the difference between a chair that fits a project and one that nearly does.
