About the WC-140NT

We build this dining chair to a single specification rather than a price point. The solid teak frame is cut and welded in-house, and the weave is tensioned against a reference sample so a repeat order sits the way the first one did.

The natural tone was chosen to sit next to timber, stone and micro-cement rather than compete with them, which is why it works in restaurant, cafe and hotel terrace dining.

Materials and construction

The frame is solid teak, cut, welded and finished under one roof. Where the weave is anchored we add internal reinforcement, because that is where a rope chair takes its load.

Rope is UV-stabilised synthetic, which keeps its colour far longer than natural fibre and does not swell when it rains. Every loose end is heat-sealed and tucked, never glued.

Because frame and rope are both made to order, colours can be matched to a sample, a Pantone reference or an existing scheme. That is the difference between a chair that fits a project and one that nearly does.
